With Jothika on a fade out the race for number one slot is between Trisha and Sneha. In the race Sneha seems to be having an upper hand .. Till date she has acted in 25 films and created a slot for an actress who has a homely look, a dazzling smile and ability to look curvaceous and sensuous in songs. Sneha ‘s victory route has began with Vassol Raja and next in line is 'Atthu’, Ayudham and Bose , all which look like sure winners.

She began her career in Malayalam with the name Manasi opposite teenage hero Kunchacko Boban. The film bombed and she came back to Chennai. Susi Ganesan a Manirathinam associate cast her as heroine in Virumbigrean opposite Prasanth. The film produced by manager of K T Kunjumon ran into financial delays. This film got stuck in the cans. She accepted a film opposite Madhavan directed by Suresh. Ennavalay was a bomb and Sneha was back to the pavilion. She played heroine to Abbas in Anandam which was considered a suicidal move. To her luck the song 'Pallankuzhyil..’ was a hit and she came out unscathed. Punnagai Desam, Parthalay Parvasam opposite Madhavan, PKS with Kamalhassan and King opposite Vikram and Yei Nee Rombha Azhaga Iruku opposite Shaam and Vaseegera with Vijay as costar were all duds while April Mathathil with Srikant was her only hit.

Meanwhile her Telugu films too did not help her much. She was in trouble with her linkup with Srikant. She too got on the wrong side of choreographer Kala (whose husband is brother of Sneha). To her only consolation was the hit of Parthipan Kanavu in which she acted in dual role. Even after this she did not hit big time. Personally too she had problems with a car accident maiming her leg. The recent release Jana with Ajit too was not a hit.

Lying low Sneha signed heroine-oriented roles in 'Athu’ and once again co-starred with Srikant her lucky mascot in Bose. Ayudham with Prasanth is on the floors. Sneha realizing that she has the chance to make it to the top is now concentrating only on Tamil films. She is going to take an ayurvedic treatment for her broad hips. With Trisha busy in Telugu it is Sneha who is a big draw. She still puts forth conditions that she will not do glamour or kiss on screen. She has said no to Sarath Kumar and Vijaykant. With a shorter hip and a determination, Sneha is all set to be numero uno.
